Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly comes from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. With a passion for family law, Ashley's present legal practice is focused on a variety of aspects of family issues. She concentrates the majority of her work on divorce cases, alimony disputes, marital property distribution child custody battles, child support arrangements, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, enforcement and post-divorce issues as well as step-parent and private party adoptions as well as issues involving children's welfare. Ashley has been a mediator appointed by the court since the year 2019. She assists parties to resolve their disputes without the necessity of litigation or court involvement. Ashley mediates private matters and also court-appointed mediations for people who want to avoid court proceedings and litigation.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. She continued her legal education through Western New England University School of Law. Graduating in 2013, she excelled academically, securing a spot among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was an Editor of the Notes at the Western New England Law Review during her time in law school. This demonstrates her dedication to legal research and scholarship.

After completing her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship experience, working for prominent jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She had the privilege of being a law assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. In 2014, she returned to her home town of Hagerstown to clerk for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long at the Washington County Circuit Court, increasing her knowledge of the local legal landscape. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. As an associate attorney. Her main focus within the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services in cases that involved child welfare. Through her dedication, Ashley played a vital role in assisting children who were victims of neglect or abuse at parent or caregivers. Her commitment to tackling social injustice went beyond her legal profession when she was a member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She worked tirelessly to educate the public about human trafficking within the tri-state region.

In 2017, she was a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the fields of family law including divorce, custody, child support and guardianships, as well as estate planning, wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxy and mediation.

Ashley established Wilburn Law Office, LLC in 2023. The company was founded with an intention to provide an individual approach to each client's requirements.
