Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly comes from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. With a deep-rooted passion for family law, Ashley's present legal practice focuses on various aspects of family-related matters. She focuses the majority of her practice on divorce cases, alimony disputes property distribution in marital relationships child custody battles child support arrangements, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, post-divorce enforcement issues, step-parent and private party adoptions and concerns about child welfare. In addition to family law, Ashley also handles estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, probate and estate administration as well as commercial, contract, and civil litigation cases. Ashley has served as a mediator appointed by a court since the year and assists parties in helping them resolve their disputes without the needing court involvement. Ashley mediates private cases and also court-appointed mediations for people who wish to avoid the court process and litigation.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. She continued her legal education through Western New England University School of Law. She graduated in 2013 and was placed among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was a Note Editor for the Western New England Law Review during her time at law school. This was a sign of her dedication to legal research and scholarship.

After completing her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship program, working with notable jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She was fortunate to serve as a law assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. In 2014, she returned to her home town of Hagerstown to clerk for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long at the Washington County Circuit Court, increasing her knowledge of the local legal landscape. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. As an associate attorney. Her main focus within the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services in cases involving child welfare. Through her dedication, Ashley played a vital role in assisting children who were victims of abuse or neglect at the from their parents or caregivers. Her commitment to tackling social injustice went beyond her legal profession as she served as an active member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She worked tirelessly to educate the public about human trafficking in the tri-state region.

In 2017 she was a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., and developed her practice in family law – divorce, custody and child maintenance as well as guardianships – as well as estate and financial planning – wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxies – and mediation.

Ashley founded Wilburn Law Office, LLC 2023 with the intention of providing a personalized approach for every client's need.
